With our involvement in Forest schools,we were involved in The tree Dressing Challenge the first week of December! It is based on many old customs from all over the world and at different times of the year. Tree Dressing Day falls on the first weekend of December. ... The act of dressing a tree binds us to it and celebrates the unique role that trees have in our local neighbourhoods. The children enjoyed dressing their tree today despite the cold,windy weather.
The boys and girls from Mrs Murneys' room decorated one tree using recycled milk carton with some junk art resources. The boys and girls in Mrs Le Mahieus' room printed Robins using their hands. They talked about the importance of trees in winter and how our winter Robins needed somewhere to make their nests!!
