ECO success

15th May 2026

Parents, Carers, and Members of our Good Shepherd Community,

We are absolutely delighted to share some wonderful news — Good Shepherd Nursery School has officially achieved our 6th Eco Flag.

This is a remarkable accomplishment, and it belongs to every child, parent, and staff member who has contributed to making our nursery a greener, more sustainable place to learn and grow.

This achievement reflects the dedication of our Eco Parent Committee, whose enthusiasm and hands‑on support have helped drive so many of our environmental initiatives forward. Their partnership with staff has strengthened our whole‑school approach to sustainability and ensured that our eco values extend beyond the classroom and into our homes and community.

We also want to celebrate our incredible Eco Warriors — the children who take on this role with such pride and purpose. Whether they are reminding their friends to recycle, helping care for our outdoor spaces, or sharing ideas about how we can reduce waste, they show us every day that even the smallest voices can make a big difference.

The Eco Programme plays a vital role in our nursery. It helps our children develop a deep respect for the world around them, encourages responsibility, and nurtures early habits that support a more sustainable future. Through hands‑on learning, outdoor exploration, and child‑led initiatives, we are helping to shape thoughtful, environmentally aware young citizens.

Achieving our 6th Eco Flag is a milestone worth celebrating, but it is also a reminder of what we can accomplish when we work together.
Thank you for your continued support, encouragement, and participation. We look forward to building on this success and continuing our journey as an Eco School community.

Warmest congratulations to everyone involved — this is truly a shared achievement.
