It was an exciting day today,3 of our cocoons hatched into 3 Red Admiral butterflies.
We have watched the lifecycle of our butterflies since they arrived a few weeks ago. They started their life as tiny caterpillars that were very small. They ate and ate and ate, they grew bigger and bigger until they created their pupas! They stayed inside for nearly 3 weeks and came out as beautiful butterflies.
We still have 2 butterflies hiding in their cocoons, so will keep checking every day and then will release them into our flower garden.🦋
